The software update error and other aspects make it a non impressive Kindle for me I own an old Kindle DX (9 inch) which I bought in 2010 and when I compare DX with this 10th Gen Kindle paper white – I wasnt impressed at all !Pros-1. The only piece of capability I liked in 10th gen – screen lights up, so can read in the dark unlike Kindle DX2. Waterproof – ok to have feature, missing in Kindle Dx3. Thinner and lighter than Kindle DX by few mms. Obviously DX is a 9 incher, compared to 6 inches.4. Touchscreen is good to have. Kindle Dx operated via physical buttons. But sometimes not having a touch screen is better since you can hold the kindle on the screen (though I know that 10th gen offers locking of screen touch, but toggling in and off can be irritating)Other than the above 4 features I find 10th gen doesnt match even the old Kindle DX!Cons-1. Great Device, but some issues yet to be resolved. Great device for serious book readers! But some issues needs ironed out:1. [Now Resolved] Software update error is disappointing. Apart from good to have features from update, I miss the disable touch screen apart from precise swipes, that can be used when the device is wet.2. I see sometimes two page flips on one swipe/touch. This happens randomly and the break of flow in reading is annoying. I see other reviews also mentions this issue so it is not just me having this issue.3. I don’t see it right that audible.com is not enabled for India user on Kindle even though audible is now launched in India.
